(Ticarcillin and Clavulanic Acid 3.1g Vial)
INDICATIONS
- Septicemia (including Bacteremia)
- Lower Respiratory Infections
- Bone and Joint Infections
- Skin and Skin Structure Infections
- Uncomplicated and Complicated Urinary Tract Infections
- Gynecologic Infections (Endometritis)
- Intra-abdominal Infections (Peritonitis)
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Adults:-
- Patients weighing more than 60kg: 3.1g every 4 or 6 hours.
- Patients weighing less than 60kg: 200-300mg/kg/day, given in divided doses every 4 or 6 hours.
- Intermittent IV infusion over 30 min.
- Duration of therapy depends upon the severity of infection but is typically 10-14 days; However, in difficult and complicated infections, more prolonged therapy may be required.
